February Week 2 training update
Rupestrian is on target for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham after recieving nearly 70% of the member vote this week, and on Monday Tim Vaughan told SRC that Rupey will be "110% fit and ready" come the big day!
Having done some very good pieces of work of late, there is a chance he will be able to run in a graded contest - perhaps the Adonis, at Kempton at the end of February - Tim will probably decide whether that will be the case after Rupestrian next serious piece of work on Wednesday morning.
It was great to see so many members voting for which race to go for, and it's certainly going to be an exciting month as we build up to seeing Rupestrian at the Festival!
The SRC was once again featured in Claude Duval's Saturday column in The Sun. It is great for the Club to get so much exposure at a national level and hopefully the SRC will get some more column inches as the build up to Cheltenham gathers pace!
Haling Park is also back in training, and just three weeks away from a run according to trainer Gary Moore. She has bulked up a little and hopefully we'll see an improved horse when she returns to the racecourse.
