Garrulous declared in the 7.20 at Bangor - Form Guide
Garrulous has been declared to run in the 7.20 at Bangor tomorrow evening, and will face a maximum of six rivals.
Dean Coleman has been provisionally booked to ride, however the Philip Hobbs-trained Tzora has been declared only as a precaution, as he will run at Newton Abbot this afternoon unless the rain leads to ground on the soft side of good. If as expected Tzora does pull out tomorrow, our first choice jockey Richard Johnson will take the ride on Garrulous.
Please see below the official Select Racing form guide for the race!
1. Tzora - DOUBTFUL RUNNER
2. Marc Aurele - Decent on the flat in France in 2008 and bought by current connections for 180,000Euro in October of that year. Undeniably disappointing for this yard in novice hurdles last year and again when sent handicapping off unrealistic mark in 2010, but improved form when all-the-way winner at Wincanton in April. Second has gone in since and though that looked an uncompetitive contest, this does too and possible the decent ground helped. Decent chance for top yard.
3. Garrulous
4. Danny Zuko - Won over CD last April off 103 but winless since and not done much since returning to hurdles after brief stint chasing. Not in great form in handicap hurdles last autumn and again in the spring, and latest third came in a seller at Cartmel ten days ago. Conditions to suit here but fisrt-time blinkers will need to bring about some improvement.
5. Phoenix Eye - Bolted up at Market Rasen in September but no luck since and still 10lbs higher now. Off since November and looks up against it here.
6. Ajman - Minor winner on the flat in Ireland in 2008. Bought cheaply by current connections in October last year and after inauspicious start for this yard (beaten in selling hurdles first two stars) he has found the winning habit of late, ready win in Ludlow seller followed by victory in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las last week. However, that form is worthless, as they only jumped three flights (all others omitted due to the low sun) and with the second looking reluctant, it can't have taken much winning. Should find at least one (hopefully Garrulous!) too good here.
7. Obara d'Avril - Won just once from 26 starts, in a novice handicap at Market Rasen last year. No show in handicaps over hurdles and on the level of late and can't be fancied off mark that remains 12lbs higher than for that win.
Recommended Bet: Tim Vaughan is sure Garrulous will improve for this first outing in well over a year, however I would be disappointed if he isn't very competitive here; he is very well-handicapped on his old form and Tim's horses have been running particularly well of late, so despite being slightly short of peak fitness, I expect him to prove hard to beat.

Whats the weather doing up in Bangor. Its rained all night down here in Stratford upon avon and still is. Owen See you later at the races.
Good luck Garrulous on your first run in Select racing club colours, give it your best and come home safe, Going to have a liitle bet on him today, feeling lucky, Best wishes to all involved. Nick.
Good luck tonight are any other src members going hope the weather stays fine a bit dull at moment.
So looks like it will run at Bangor instead so Richard Johnson presumabley will ride Tzora. So will Dean still get the ride and claim the 5 or will he be jocked off for a more experienced rider? AP McCoy only has a ride in the 1st so could be bookable and he and Jason McGuire are the leading riders at Bangor over the last 5 years.
All the best to Garrulous and the rest of the SRC and Tim V teams that'll be at Bangor tomorrow eve... will be an interesting race for all ... here's hoping for a good 'Garrulous' turn of foot. Will be cheering you on from my sofa seat!
Here's hoping for a good run from Garrulous on tuesday All the best to SRC members at the races Come home safe Garrulous and Richard
I think the Bangor race tomorrow night is a great starting point for Garrulous and am very hopeful of a really good run. The obvious danger is Marc Aurele as he won last time out and the second has won well since, but I for one would love to see an SRC owned horse get the better of a Sir Alex Ferguson owned horse!. Good luck to all involved and as long as Garrulous comes back safe and sound, then we'll all have a lot to look forward to in the coming months.
can u ask tim if any of his other runners might win tomorrow cus i will do a double or treble if they got a good chance please nathaniel
REALLY KEEN TO SEE HOW GARRULOUS WILL GET ON AT BANGOR. GOOD LUCK TO ALL CONCERNED.
