January Week 2 training update
A quiet week for Rupestrian, who has been restricted to exercising on the horse walker with the gallops at Tim's currently out of action.
The sooner the weather improves, the sooner we will be able to tell whether Rupestrian could run once before Cheltenham. There aren't too many options for a four-time winning novice outside of graded company, so (as pointed out in the 'comments' section of the last update) the most likely place for him to run would be at the on Racing Post Chase day at Kempton Park, Saturday 27th February, in either the Dovecote or the Adonis hurdle.
With the Festival falling slightly later this year, there is three weeks between those races and the Fred Winter/Triumph Hurdle, which would give him plenty of time to recover, and it might just serve to blow away the cobwebs after his extended break, getting him spot on for Cheltenham!
The next stable visit will be on Thursday, 18th February, with racing afterwards at Ffos Las. Please contact the Club manager for further details.
