June Week 2 training update
Garrulous has now resumed work, having had a couple of well-deserved days in the paddocks after his reappearance third at Bangor last week.
It is not too often said, but I think that the handicapper may well have been kind in dropping him 3lbs for that run! He is sure to come on plenty for it, as Tim rightly hadn't been too hard on him at home, so everything is geared towards a win next time - all we need to do is find the race, so I'll get a couple of suggestions from Tim in the next couple of days and get a vote up online. Those 2lbs could make a big diffference, as he is now entitled to run in a 0-105, which greatly increases our options.
Haling Park is really settling down in her new surroundings, and Tim will be looking to run her in the next fortnight. A big thank you to club member Carju1, who has posted a write-up of last weekend's stable visit in the forum - it contains a positive bulletin on Haling Park so it's worth a read!
Tim is very happy with the way Rupestrian is coming along, and he has almost finished 'phase one' of his rehabilitation, so he'll be out in the paddocks next month. In contrast to most horses, he seems to be enjoying his period of box rest (perhaps because he has been given a large box with a nice view of the countryside!) but I'm sure he'll be delighted to get outside again, and after a long period at grass we look forward to hopefully bringing him back into training in spring 2011.
