Rupestrian's incredible winning streak continues: Four out of four!
It was another fantastic day in the short history of the Select Racing Club as Rupestrian notched up his fourth win in impressive style at Market Rasen!
Following victories at Stratford, Hexham and Sedgefield our 7/4 favourite blew away the field yet again, winning by 14 lengths.
The talk before the race centred on whether Rupestrian would be able to give weight to some fair newcomers from the flat, and over a stone to two fillies with fair placed form over hurdles. Members were split as to whether Dean Coleman (claiming 7lb) or Richard Johnson should get the ride, with the majority eventually voting for Dean.
Indeed, after his victory, trainer Tim Vaughan seemed to suggest the right decision had been made: "It is difficult for a three-year-old to give away a lot of weight in this sort of race, but I thought we had a fair chance because Dean (Coleman) is well worth his 7lb allowance so in essence we were only giving the other geldings 3lb."
The Club will now look for the next race for Rupestrian and members will of course get to vote on where he runs.

Can't believe we've now won four in a row. Great stuff. Thanks to everyone - it's been a blast so far! Let's get Rupestrian ready and firing for some more victories - and roll on Cheltenham! You can put my name in the ballot for that already! :-)
What a brilliant performance at Market Rasen.
Well done to all concerned, especially Tim Vaughan for producing the horse in such great form. So much excitement in 2 months -
Thanks Select Racing!!
