Share in 'Al Amaan'

Al Amaan

A tall, scopey five-year-old, Al Amaan was a winner over 1m7f on the flat in France before being bought for a hurdling career in the UK. He has shown plenty of ability over hurdles and his size and speed suggests he'll have no trouble winning races for the SRC in 2011!

Trainer Gary Moore had this to say about him in October: "Al Amaan has shown plenty of speed in his work and he can definitely win races off his current mark of 109. Looking ahead, he has the size and athleticism to jump a fence".

You can buy a share in the exciting Al Amaan for just £129, which covers all costs through until the beginning of August 2011.  Please contact one of the team on 0845 6809824 to find out more!

Breeding:Al Amaan is the 4th foal of a lightly-raced 12f winner in France, herself out of the Italian Oaks winner Shahmiad.  A half-brother to two middle-distance winners in Italy, the dam's side of his pedigree has stamina throughout.

Al Amaan is by the top-class 10-12f performer Nayef. The top-rated three-year-old in England in 2001, he won four Group 1's during his career; the Champion Stakes, Dubai Sheema Classic, Juddmonte International and the Prince of Wales's. A brother to Nashwan out of the top-class broodmare Height of Fashion, he is a leading young sire, with progeny winning over all distances and over jumps.

What distance should Al Amaan run over?  Al Amman has run over 2m to 2m5f over hurdles, with his tendency to race quite keenly probably preventing him from staying the latter trip. Gary hasn't yet made his mind up about what trip he'd want, but he has the scope to jump fences as well as hurdles, so there shouldn't be any shortage of options for him!
