SRC form guides: Along Came Rosie
Along Came Rosie is a confirmed runner in the 2m handicap hurdle at Wetherby tomorrow afternoon (3.30pm). The ballot for badges is now closed, and all entrants in the ballot will be notified by email shortly.
Please see below the exclusive SRC form guide for the race;
1. Chicklemix - both career wins have come in uncompetitive events at Fakenham, the latest a handicap hurdle over 2m4f off 10lb lower in April. However, plenty of decent placed form including last two starts. Climbing the handicap without winning though.
2. Nelson Du Ronceray - Plenty of winning form for the late Peter Monteith but returns for new connections after a long break and entitled to need this.
3. Along Came Rosie
4. Zafranagar - winner off 4lbs higher at Kempton Park in 2010 and hasn't had many chances since. As good as ever on the flat this season and one to consider.
5. Marino Prince - Multiple winner for Jim Best but on a stiff mark now and unlikely to be winning this having been beaten in the bottom grade last time.
6. Sophonie - French import who has not been at his best in three starts this year after initially showing promise for these connections. Reverts to hurdling on a fair mark, but yard having a tough time of it.
7. Bring Sweets - Modest win record and hurdles victory came in a dreadful contest here. Shrewd yard always feared in this grade but others marginally preferred.
8. Dzesmin - Multiple flat winner who also has a victory over hurdles here (2m4f) to his name. Seemingly running into form and booking of Murphy takes the eye. Likely to be winning this time or the next.
9. Bocamix - One-time smart juvenile hurdler and 2nd to Carlito Brigante a year ago certainly gives him the beating of these, but completely out of form since.
10. Ananda Kanda - Looked an improving sort when running out a ready winner at Ludlow last time. Likely to be thereabouts once again.
11. Little Bob - Plummeting down the ratings and looks a shadow of his former self. Others preferred.
12. Arrow Barrow - Well-backed and comfortable winner of a Doncaster novice handicap last time. Yard not quite in the same form now but place claims at least here.
Verdict: A competitive event, with several of interest. Both last-time-out winners can be given a chance, but Zafranagar and Dzesmin both make plenty of appeal.
Recommended Bet: Along Came Rosie has been in good form at home of late, but she is likely to need this comeback race over an inadequate trip, so on this occasion no bet is advised.

thank u Graham that does help and really hope I get to meet fellow members soon at the races x
Hi Angela. When your horse runs and you want to go racing Nathanial opens the ballot usually the day before the run. To apply you send an e-mail requesting a badge and after the ballot closes you are e-mailed back with the result. Hope this helps.
hi guys im new to this, how does the ballot work? Im clueless as never done it before x
Just got back from Wetherby. Rosie looked well but I think it was obvious she needed the run. I spoke to Jackie after the race and she seemed to think Rosie was alright and would come on for the run. Being Pulled Up in any race can be a concern but hopefully this is not the case with Rosie. I am sure she will give us all some good days out and show her metal when going Chasing over a more suitable trip. Still had a great day and so nice to meet other members. Onwards and Upwards.
Nice quiet run for Rosie today. Would have been good to see her finish but I'm sure Grant did the right thing in pulling her up and not subjecting her to a harder race than necessary. Hopefully will pay dividends in the long run. Rock on Rosie!
hello i'm a new member with rosie looking forward to some good days out
Sorry for my comment although I have been a member for over a year this was the first time I have able to enter a ballot, and forgot the procedure and apologise to all members
Agree with everything liamjones57 says. I've been a member of SRC for 2 years and have always been very happy with their communications to members. Perhaps Mr Hood should read his emails more thoroughly before criticizing, then he might have found out what to do to be included in the ballot for badges. On a more positive note, It's great to see Rosie on the racecourse again after her niggling problems this autumn. As Nathanial says, she will probably need the run and the distance is too short but lets hope for a safe and good run from her so that it will set her up for a successful transition to fences later in the season. Can't be there today unfortunately but I hope everyone who does go has a great day. You'll enjoy meeting Andy, the team and Rosie. Rock on Rosie.
I have always received a nice e-mail about the ballot for badges when SRC has a runner, maybe thats the place to look.I don't know if you've been a member of other syndicates or partnerships but we're very happy and for the price it can't be beat.Good luck to you and all the Rosie fans today!.Happy New Year!, Liam
