Master Dancer options open

Master Dancer has come out of his recent race at Kempton very well, but we’ll have to see what the weather does before deciding where he goes next.

Whatever happens, that won’t be Cheltenham, as he is certain to get balloted out of his options there.  The consolation race for horses that miss out at Cheltenham is the Silver Plate at Kempton Park on Saturday 17th March and I wouldn’t be against running there, but the ground would need to be soft and I think we’d need to ride him differently as well.

Otherwise, there are various other options, the two most likely of which are detailed below:

19th March: 2m5f, 0-150 handicap hurdle at Kelso

25th March: 2m7f, 0-140 cond jocks handicap hurdle at Ascot

We won’t get in at Aintree now, but there is a different opptions which makes plenty of appeal – a 3m open handicap back at Cheltenham on 18th April.  If the ground is too fast there, there are options at both the Scottish National meeting and at the Punchestown Festival.

We’ll know more at this time next week and an update will follow then.IMG_8226
